How Our Training Camp is Shaping More Than Just Fast Swimmers
At the heart of our Swim Team Training Camp this season is a powerful message: We are stronger together. From the first early morning practice to the last team dinner of the day, the focus has been clear—teamwork and mental clarity is the foundation of our success. According to the official 2025 training camp schedule, coaches Steve, Craig, and BooBoo have been emphasizing that the effort we invest now will benefit us when the spring season arrives, and the experience extends well beyond just what we learn in the pool. They saw it in Sunday afternoon’s test set. These were a series of 100- and 150-yard sets in their specialty for times, all in tech suits, to simulate a race setting and the required mindset. Everyone looked to step up and come close to, or even exceed, their personal best. It was loud as the coaches were really pushing the kids to find that extra gear through all the yards, they had put in. All the swimmers just killed it today!
The Spirit of Teamwork
Every day at camp presents an opportunity to support each other, both in and out of the water. Whether we’re pushing through grueling sets or cheering each other on in a particular set, the encouragement from teammates and coaches makes all the difference. The energy is infectious—no one wants to let the team down, and everyone wants to see their friends succeed. This shared determination is what transforms a group of individuals into champions.
Learning Through Shared Experiences
Teamwork isn’t just reserved for swim practice. The camp is designed to bring them together in nearly every aspect of daily life. From team activities and camp games to sitting down for meals together, we’re constantly learning the importance of looking after each other. These moments—laughing over breakfast, strategizing during a game, or simply lending a listening ear are learning situations that teach us that being a team means being there for one another, no matter the circumstance. Lol

Support That Lasts Beyond Camp
Coach Steve, Craig, and BooBoo have worked to instill hard work and mutual support. Their message: putting in effort together shapes not only our performance but also the teammates and people we become. Lessons in loyalty, trust, and accountability are building blocks for future success.
Lessons That Stick
Collaboration: We achieve more when we support one another.
Encouragement: A kind word or a teammate’s cheer can be the push someone needs to keep going.
Accountability: We hold each other responsible, not just for our actions in and out of the pool but for our collective goals.
Camaraderie: Shared experiences—both the challenges and the fun—create bonds that last.
The Daily Experience
In case you're wondering about daily experience. Each day is designed to get the most in and out of the pool, with training sessions in the morning, suited test sets in the afternoon, and late afternoon. In between there are dryland activities and much-needed rest, especially on those tougher test set days. The evenings are set with a catered dinner and team activity until bedtime. There will be a few surprises of fun along the way to let loose.
By the way, each day is between 12k and 15k yards, depending on their specialty. The distance group gets to endure a 10 x 500-yard test set in the evening and another 6 x 1000-yard test set, all for time, with just a few minutes of rest in between. A real show of endurance and focus. I can assure you they sleep well every night.
